I am an Associate Professor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
I write, teach, and speak about issues of race and gender at the intersection of medicine, public health law, and regulatory law. At Hofstra I teach torts, administrative law, and a birth justice seminar.
Prior to joining Hofstra Law, I was an Acting Assistant Professor of Lawyering at NYU School of Law. Prior to entering the academy, I was a public interest lawyer supporting labor unions, including the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and the AFL-CIO in Washington, DC.
I hold a BA (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Connecticut College. I received a JD from UC College of the Law SF (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law) and a PhD from Princeton University in sociology.
